LAKELAND, FLA. –The Thomas University Women's Cross Country competed in their last meet of the season Saturday morning at the SUN Conference Cross Country Championship. Due to inclement weather the previous day, the Night Hawks had to fight through the wet and muddy 5K course. Freshman Cassandra Richards led the Night Hawks, finishing in 22nd place with a time of 21:41.98. Senior Jonna Wittwer finished in 24th place with a time of 21:54.15. Freshman Victoria Richards finished in 29th place with a time of 22:36.20. Freshman IlaClare Whitlock finished in 42nd place with a time of 23:49.08. Freshman Sophia Alexander finished in 48th place with a time of 24:46.08. Senior Marilena Kalaitzis finished in 53rd place with a time of 25:16.77.
Thomas finished the race taking fourth overall as a team.
