CLINTON, MS – The Thomas University Men's and Women's Cross Country team continued to participate in some of the best meets in the country, as the Night Hawks took their talents to Clinton, MS for the Watson XC Classic. The meet was hosted by NCAA opponent Mississippi College on October 13th.
On the Men's side, Senior Justin Tomison showed to be a veteran leader for the Night Hawks as the Buxton, ME native picked up a 20th place finish with a time of 26:18.70. Tomison's finish was enough to place in the All-Tournament team.
Sophomore Landon Watts finished in 56th place for a time of 27:39.80. Junior Emmanuel Tovar-Negrete placed in 153rd for a time of 31:13.20. Senior Timothy Tulloch rounded out the meet for the Green and White, marking a placement of 178th for a time of 33:54.80.
On the Women's side, Cassandra Richards led Thomas in 44th place for a time of 25:15.90. Victoria Richards concluded the meet for TU in 98th place for a time of 27:42.10.
The Night Hawks will now turn their attention towards postseason action as they prepare for the first ever SSAC XC Championship. The event will take place on November 4th in Danville, Al.
