Night Hawks shine at Brewton-Parker Invite

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - Thomas delivered spectacular individual performances at the Brewton-Parker Invite on Friday afternoon.

Landon Watts, who has had an excellent year for the Night Hawks, added on to it by notching his first career individual win by finishing first in the Men's 8k with an impressive time of 28:17. Watts averaged 5:41 a mile in the race, his best time this year. In addition to Watts, Caden Godwin also delivered a strong performance in the same race, finishing 5th with a time of 30:14 and averaging 6:04 a mile.

On the women's side, The Night Hawks turned out an outstanding performance with every runner finishing in the top three. Cassandra Richards led the way, earning her first individual career win as she posted a time of 22:24 with a pace of 7:12. She was followed by her sister Victoria Richards who completed the race in second with a time of 24:04 and a pace of 7:44. Finally, Riley Rutledge had her best finish of the year, clocking in at 25:22, running at 8:10 a mile.

Looking ahead, the Night Hawks are gearing up for the SSAC Conference Championships on November 8th at Danville, Ala. beginning at 10:00 am with the men's 8K and then the women's 6K at 11:00 am
