Mission Statement
The mission of the Thomas University Athletic Training Department is to provide dedicated, quality health care to student-athletes. The Athletic Training staff strives to return student-athletes to participation both academically and athletically as quickly as possible. By utilizing prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation the staff is determined to meet the medical needs of each student-athlete. Meeting these needs establishes an environment that encourages athletic, academic, and personal growth for the student-athlete.

Athletic Training Room Rules
Report injuries or illnesses to your Athletic Trainer immediately.
Park in a designated parking spot, do not park illegally or on the side of the road.
If you have an injury, you are required to receive treatment and rehabilitation until you are released by the Athletic Trainer.
Do not miss scheduled doctor's appointments.
Do not take any medicine or equipment without checking with the Athletic Trainer.
Use scoop when getting ice. Do not leave scoop in the ice machine.
No shoes or cleats allowed on treatment tables.
Be respectful to staff, coaches, and other student-athletes.
Clean up after yourself.
The Athletic Training Room is only for student-athletes that need treatment, not a hanging out.
No chewing tobacco or dip allowed.
Please place your personal items on the storage shelf when you enter the Athletic Training Room.
Do not use your cell phone during rehabilitation programs.
In order to receive treatment, you must be in the Athletic Training Room more than 30 minutes before your assigned practice time.

THOMAS UNIVERSITY VISITING TEAM INFORMATION
  • The Athletic Training Room (ATR) is located at 1550A Magnolia Street on Thomas University's West Campus inside the Student Life Building.
  • A Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) will be present at all home events/competitions.
  • The ATR has the following equipment available: ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hydrocollator packs, and an ice machine.
  • Emergency equipment available include: AED, splint kit, spine board, and crutches.
  • Each team will be provided with water and cups or water bottles.
  • The TU ATC will assist teams traveling without an ATC, but please contact the TU ATR to make arrangements.
  • Treatments can only be administered if the Visiting Team Medical Questionnaire is filled out and signed by an ATC or Team Doctor. Appointments must be made with the TU ATC for a treatment time. CLICK FOR QUESTIONNAIRE (PDF)
  • Teams traveling without an ATC must bring their own medical kit.
  • If your team is traveling with an ATC and needs to use the ATR, please contact the TU ATR to set up a treatment time.
