Named after Thomasville's former mayor, Heeth Varnedoe, Jr., Varnedoe Stadium is the home field for Thomas University's varsity and junior varsity baseball programs. Nestled within the local community, Varnedoe Stadium sits as the neighbor to the Thomas Community Resource Center and a joint park area owned by the City of Thomasville. The field is located next to Armory Field, the home of Thomas University's softball team.
Located 1.1 miles from TU's Magnolia Campus and 2.1 miles from the Forbes Campus, Varnedoe Stadium has two pitching bullpens and 3 batting cages for training. From pole to pole, the outfield fence measures, from left to right, 325'-360'-410'-360'-325' from home plate. The field has a 32 foot backstop behind the plate.
While a patron at TU athletic events, fans have a close-to-the-field presence that makes them feel a part of the game. Spectators can enjoy refreshments from the concession stands, pick up Thomas University athletics merchandise, or interact with in-game contests and promotions.
Our baseball games are broadcasted live via BlueFrame and feature live statistics for every home competition via SideArm Stats.
Just a short drive from main campus, west campus, and the dorms, students have a scenic atmosphere to show up and cheer on their classmates and fellow Night Hawks.
