Fighting Through Adversity : Several Night Hawks Notches Personal Records
LAKELAND, FL. –The Thomas University Women's Cross Country team had several strong performances Friday Morning at the Hoka Invitational, despite not having an entire women's team and battling injuries. The Night Hawks left their mark on the 5k course as they competed against several SUN conference opponents. Freshman Cassandra Richards led the pack as she took 27th place with a new personal time of (21:24.92). Freshman Victoria Richards finished behind her sister taking 31st place with a time of (21:42.02). Senior Jonna Wittwer finished 47th place with a time of (22:30.45). Freshman IlaClare Whitlock finished behind the Hamburg,Germany native, taking 74th place with a time of (24:13.96).
Thomas finished the race taking fifth overall as a team.

The Night Hawks have a week off to prepare and plan for the FSCJ Bluewave XC Invitational which will be held on Friday October 15th.
