TAMPA, Fla. – Thomas University and Keiser University tie at the top of the 2024 The Sun Conference (SUN) Flag Football Preseason Coaches Poll.
Thomas, the 2022 and 2023 SUN Regular Season and Tournament Champions, collect five first-place votes and 59 points to share the top spot in the poll. The Night Hawks have had a record of 18-2 in SUN play the last two seasons, and in both seasons fell just short in the NAIA Finals. Keiser also tallies 59 points in the poll and earns three first-place votes. The Seahawks, 2021 SUN Champions, were 7-3 in conference play a season ago and were also NAIA semifinalists.
St. Thomas, slated for a third-place finish (49 points), picked up the last first-place vote after last year's 7-3 SUN record. Warner is voted for fourth place with 43 points while Webber Int'l tallies 36 points in fifth. Florida Memorial totals 27 points in the sixth-place spot.
Life, Reinhardt, and Point join the SUN in the upcoming 2024 season and complete the poll. Life and Point will compete in their inagural seasons while Reinhardt begins its second season as a program.
Conference play begins Thursday, February 15 with the conference tournament to begin Thursday, April 25. Scores for all games all season long can be found on
