After taking a pause in Spring practice, the Thomas Night Hawks resumed football workouts this week. Spring practice was postponed to allow the new, incoming players, to have more of an opportunity to adapt to the new Thomas football system and the university itself.

Players checked in on this past Thursday, and began with team meetings. The Night Hawks then hit the field on Friday to begin their acclamation period. On Saturday, the Night Hawks had NAIA football officials on campus to assist with practice as part of the officials summer training.
Head Coach Orlando Mitjans stated that everything was going as planned thus far. Mitjans added, "It was great to have the officials on campus today. It allowed the players and coaches an opportunity to see what is expected from them concerning the rules. Thanks to Gene Lord for coordinating the officials for us."
Player Cam Bailey said that it was great to see a greater quantity of players on campus now. "We get to build as a team now", Bailey added. Bailey also added that the team chemistry is coming along well.
The Night Hawks will continue workouts through Thursday, June 8.
