ATLANTA, GA- The Thomas University Women's Track and Field team competed at the two-day meet for the Thrills in the Hills invitational hosted by NCAA Opponent, Emory University. This marks the second consecutive meet for the Night Hawks competing against some of the best in the country and several Night Hawks highlighting record-breaking performances.
Sophomore Victoria Richards started off on the right foot, picking up numerous records over the weekend. The Fairfield, ME native started off competing in the 1500 meter run for the first time in her collegiate career, notching a new school record time of 5:36.07. Richards finished her eventful performance in the 800 meters, notching a new school record for a time of 2:48.04.
Senior Jennifer Coleman had a strong showing in several events. The Thomasville, Ga native competed in the Shot Put, picking up a new personal record and school record of 11.97 meters for a fifth-place finish. Additionally, Coleman concluded the meet in the Discus Throw, notching a new personal and school record of 38.28 meters for a third place finish.
The Women's team finished 14th overall.
