MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Briana Campbell of Life was named Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and
Mya McRae of Thomas was named Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The awards are based on performance for the week of April 7-13.
Briana Campbell (Life – FR – Jamaica)
- This is her third-straight outdoor honor
- Campbell turned in a pair of NAIA-leading times in the 200m (23.54) and 100m hurdles (13.17) at the Gamecock Invite
- She hit the NAIA "A" qualifying mark in both events
Mya McRae (Thomas – FR – Canton, Ga.)
- This is her second weekly honor this year
- McRae placed 3rd in the long jump with a jump of 5.12m at the Alice Coachman Invitational
- She finished 6th (10.12m) in the triple jump
