Shawn Jones, quarterback coach for the inaugural Thomas University football team, will be inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame this weekend in Macon, GA.  While at Tech, Jones led the Yellow Jackets to the 1990 National Championship over Nebraska, in the Citrus Bowl, and was named MVP of the Game.  During his career, Jones accumulated 9,296 total yards of offense (8,441 passing, 855 rushing), 70 touchdowns (51 passing, 19 rushing) and 35 wins.  At Thomasville High School, he led the Bulldogs to a 29-8-1 record as a starter, including an 11-1 record as a senior where he threw for 1,369 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also rushed for 677 yards and three touchdowns.

The induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 25 at 7pm in the Macon City Auditorium.
