The Sun Conference announced today that quarterback
Charles Britt of Thomas was name the offensive player of the week. Britt, who has been the backup quarterback for the Night Hawks this season, was forced to start this week due to injury. The National Guard commit stepped up to the plate.
Britt, a sophomore quarterback from Philadelphia, PA, accounted for four of the five touchdowns that the Night Hawks scored on Saturday. Britt threw for touchdown passes of 15, 22, and 16 yards, and rush for one, via the quarterback sneak, from one yard away. Britt's performance help lead the Night Hawks to their first Sun Conference victory, in program history, as Thomas defeated Warner, 38-26.

Orlando Mitjans stated that, "I am proud of Britt for his performance. He has progressed well in his role as the backup. When the opportunity presented itself, he did what he had been taught by his coaches. Charles had a good week in practice, so we were confident in his ability."
Britt becomes the first Night Hawks football player to receive a weekly honor for his performance. The Night Hawks prepare to hit the road on Saturday, traveling to Babson Park, FL to face Webber International.
