THOMASVILLE, GA- The Thomas University Cross Country programs will embark on a new historical journey this Saturday for the first annual Pre-NAIA National Meet, which will be held in Tallahassee, Fla at the Apalachee Regional Park. TU will be one of the first schools to get a glimpse of the course for the NAIA XC Nationals Meet, which will be held later in the season.
The course at Apalachee Regional Park is designed specifically for cross country and includes a fixed finish line arch, operations building and permanent awards stage with a pristine, multi-surface course that winds through rolling hills, low-lands and pine forests.
Several events have been hosted at this venue. Apalachee Regional Park was the site of the NCAA DI, USATF and NJCAA Region 8 XC Championship meets in 2021. This year the site will host the NAIA National XC Championship as well as the NJCAA National XC Championships.
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and females teams, including the top 10 individual male and female finishers.
The Night Hawks will start their stopwatches at 7:30am for the Men, followed by the Women at 8am.
