BIRMINGHAM, ALA-  In a rare meet where the SUN and Southern State Athletic Conference joined forces to combine in one big meet Monday morning at the Birmingham Sports Complex, one Night Hawk shined bright for the Green and White with multiple records crushed. 

HIGHLIGHTS: Sophomore Jennifer Coleman led the Women's team with a total of 12 points. The Thomasville, Ga native secured a fifth place finish in the weight throw with a new school and personal record of (11.91 meters). Coleman then had another big performance in the Shot Put, notching a second place finish to secure an All-SUN conference performance with a new school and personal record of (11.45 meters). Freshman IlaClare Whitlock finished in ninth place in the one mile run with a time of (6:29.03). The Newnan, Ga native also competed in the 800 meter run, taking 11th place with a time of (2:59.97). Freshman Sophia Alexander competed in the 800 meter run taking ninth place with a time of (2:49.30). Freshman Cassandra Richards competed in the 5000 meter run taking 7th place for two points for the Green and White with a time of (22:02.16). 

WHAT'S NEXT: The Green and White will have one more chance to qualify for NAIA Nationals as TU will travel to Embry-Riddle for the Last Chance Meet on February 19th in Daytona Beach, Fla.
