MIAMI, Fla. – The Sun Conference released its Women's Soccer Preseason Poll Friday morning, projecting the Thomas University Women's soccer team to finish in fourth place in the 2021 conference standings. The poll results were determined by the votes of the ten head coaches in the conference.
The two-time defending NAIA National Champion Keiser Seahawks were selected as the favorites to win the conference, tallying 80 points and eight of the first-place votes. Southeastern was picked to finish as the runner-up, grabbing the other two first-place votes and 74 overall points.
While USC-Beaufort tallied 58 points, the Night Hawks (50 points) narrowly edged out the St. Thomas Bobcats by one point for the fourth-place spot.
TU was one of two teams that did not partake in the conference's 2020 slate due to COVID-19 precautions, electing to play in the spring as a (then) A.I.I. member and making its way back into the NAIA tournament for the first time since 2004.
