THOMASVILLE – The Thomas Night Hawks concluded their regular season with a 17-0 victory over the ABAC Fillies on Wednesday afternoon.
Ali Baca opened the scoring for the Night Hawks in the second minute as Kennedi Warren-Young sent one over to Pearl Mortimer, who found Baca on a run for the tap-in.
Then in the sixth minute, Mortimer found a wide-open Elsebeth Andersen, who sent it in for her eighth goal of the season.
Mortimer found the back of the net as Sasha Manders crossed one over to her fellow Englishwoman for the goal. Later, off a throw-in from Mistie Fox-Barker, Maja Martinsson found Mortimer, who passed it over to Manders for a goal.
In the 27th minute, Nike Henschel connected on a strike from outside the box to increase the lead to 5-0. Just three minutes later, Matthildur Traustadottir sent the ball up ahead to Manders, who got by the keeper and scored her second goal of the game.
Manders continued the scoring in the 34th minute as Makenna Casner broke into the open field and crossed it over to Manders, who sent it in.
Madelyn Musgrove got in on the scoring as well, with Manders lobbing one from the near corner for Musgrove to finish it with a header.
Manders tallied another assist by finding Makenna Casner, who scored her second goal of the season in the 39th minute.
Finally, Mia Maruo found the back of the net in the 40th minute to go into the half with a 10-0 lead.
Going into the second half, Manders only needed one goal to reach 100 points in her Night Hawk career.
In the first 51 seconds of the half, Baca found Manders in the box, and she chipped in at the right post for her 100th point in her career.
The Night Hawks scored six more goals in the second half to put away the Fillies 17-0.
Manders paced the attack for Thomas as she finished with career-highs in goals and assists with four. Baca and Musgrove both had their first career hat-tricks as well.
The Night Hawks now await to see who they will draw in the SSAC Tournament.
