THOMASVILLE, GA  |  For the fourth consecutive week, a member of the Night Hawks Flag Football Team has taken home the Defensive Player of the Week Award.  During the four-week period, Thomas swept both the offensive and defensive player of the week for the first two weeks, while winning the defensive player of the week award in the third and fourth week.  Maddie Hougland (Tallahassee, FL), who was the first Night Hawks to win defensive player of the week during the streak, closes The Sun Conference regular season, by capturing the award again.

Playing limited minutes due to a lopsided score, Hougland was selected for the award with two tackle, one pass break-up, one interception performance in the Thomas 40-0 victory over Life University, on Thursday, April 18.  The interception was good for a pick-six for the Night Hawks.

Hougland, and the Night Hawks will spend the week preparing for The Sun Conference Tournament, April 25-27, at Keiser University.  Thomas, for the first time in program history, will not enter the tournament as the regular season champions.  This season, Thomas will be the third seed, as they look to defend their tournament championship.
