NFL Flag released the brackets for the 2023 NAIA Flag Football Invitational, to be held in Atlanta, GA on May 18-20. The Thomas Night Hawks will enter the tournament with the #2 seed in the 12-team, double-elimination bracket. Thomas won the Sun Conference Flag Football Tournament, April 29 in Thomasville, GA.
The Sun Conference has three of the top four seeds in the tournament, with St. Thomas entering the tournament as a #3 seed and Keiser sitting as the #4 seed. Ottawa (KS) is the top seed in the tournament. The Sun Conference take up five of the twelve positions in the tournament.

Thomas willl open up play on Thursday, May 18 at 12:30 p.m, at the Franklin Gateway Sports Complex with the winner the match between Sun Conference foe Warner and Campbellsville, who will face each other at 10:00 a.m. that morning. Warner defeated Campbellsville twice this season in March: 39-13 and 20-0. Thomas shutout Campbellsville earlier this season 25-0. Thomas blanked Warner twice during the regular season: 45-0 and 35-0.
Should the Night hawks win their opening game, there is the possibility that there will be a Sun Conference Championship Game rematch against St. Thomas in the second round, also at the Franklin Gateway Sports Complex. Thomas has defeated the Bobcats at home two times this season and lost to St. Thomas on the road by a single point.
Action Friday will move to downtown Atlanta, with the winner's bracket games being held inside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the elimination bracket games being held at the Home Depot Back Yard at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
If Thomas remains in the winner's bracket throughout the tournament, they will only have to win four games to claim the National Championship.
