Thomas defeated Florida Memorial 41-0, in Miami Gardens, FL, on Saturday, to capture at least a share of the Sun Conference Flag Football Championship. Â In the game, Thomas scored four touchdowns via the pass, with
Alexa Wilson and
Shelby Hartley each throwing two touchdowns. Â
Ariel Wilcox,
Kiera Knight,
Nakerra Brown, and
Aliyah Woods were on the receiving end of those Thomas touchdowns.
Knight led the Night Hawks with 7 receptions for 65 receiving yards, followed by Brown with four catches for 41 yards. Â
Kiana Acol hauled in five receptions, also. Â Defensively,
Janae Scott led the Night Hawks with four flag pulls, followed by Woods with three pulls.
Notes
- With the victory, Thomas has secured a share of the Sun Conference Regular Season Championship.  Keiser trails Thomas be 1.5 games in the standings, but Thomas owns the tie breaker, by virtue of the season sweep of the Seahawks.
- In two years of flag football competition in the Sun Conference, the Night Hawks have only lost two games. Â The losses each season have been to St. Thomas.
- The Sun Conference Flag Football Tournament will be held at the TUÂ Soccer Complex on April 28-29. Â Information will be released later this week about the tournament.
- Wednesday is Senior Day for the Night Hawks.  Thomas will honor Brittney Delva on this day.
