Janae Scott led the Thomas University defense with 11 flag pulls in the Night Hawks' 25-6 win over Keiser University Thursday afternoon at the TU Soccer Complex.
The Night Hawks improve to 11-0 on the season and 6-0 in the Sun Conference.
Thomas took just six plays to cover 66 yards for the first touchdown of the game, capped by a 5-yard rushing TD by
Alexa Wilson.
The Night Hawks'
Gisele Jones intercepted Keiser's second pass of the game to set up a 5-play, 15-yard scoring drive to put the Night Hawks ahead, 12-0.
Kiana Acol rushed for the TD, but the PAT, a 1-point pass attempt, failed.
After a turnover on downs by Keiser, Thomas scored again to go up 19-0, after marching 47 yards in seven plays. Wilson's 19-yard pass to
Kiera Knight was followed by a 1-point pass attempt from Acol.
Keiser scored in the second quarter off a 1-yard pass, but the 1-point PAT failed.
Thomas' final scoring drive was in the fourth quarter, as Wilson rushed for a 5-yard TD.
TU collected 251 total yards of offense and allowed Keiser just 124 yards.
Wilson passed for 240 yards from 18 completions, the longest a 48-yard rocket to Jones. Wilson also had deep passes to Knight (37 yards),
Nakerra Brown (27 yards) and Acol (22 yards).
Jones collected 66 yards and Knight tallied 61 yards, both recording three catches.
Jones and
Brittney Delva each snagged an interception and
Jaida Reese had a pair of sacks.
The Night Hawks are back on the field Thursday, April 6, facing Webber International University at 4 p.m. at the TU Soccer Complex in Thomasville, Ga.
