THOMASVILLE, Ga. — The Thomas University women's soccer team is set to hit the road after a dominating 2-0 week last week, with a visit to Life University this upcoming Friday at 5 PM.
The Night Hawks (4-1-1) head to Life, after dominating its last three opponents with 5-0, 8-0, and 7-1 wins. Thomas has fielded an average of 20 players in the hot streak, with seven different players registering a goal in the team's last three matches.
Last week's SUN Conference Offensive Player of the Week Analeice Wilkes has particularly been on a tear, scoring a hat trick and poker in TU's last two games.
A supporting cast of Night Hawks alongside Wilkes have set the team up for success, with 19 assists in TU's last 20 goals.
Veteran center backs Abbie McCammon and Brittney Rankins have been a staple on the back line, limiting opponents to an average of 1.3 goals per game. On the season, Emily Lamoreaux has been a stronghold in net, averaging three saves a game.
TU holds the all-time record over Life, besting the Running Eagles 6-2 in the two teams only matchup.
The 2019 victory for the Night Hawks saw current Night Hawks Analeice Wilkes, Jana Pastorek and Brianna Fanning all grab a goal, with Wilkes grabbing the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute.
