THOMASVILLE, Ga. — The Thomas University men's soccer team will host #2 University of Mobile tomorrow, September 16th at 4 PM.
The Night Hawks anticipate its second straight tough match, after falling 2-1 to #18 Florida National earlier this week. The visiting Rams will conclude Thomas' pre-conference schedule with #2 Mobile being the team's last non-conference matchup until October 20th.
TU (3-2-1) has won three of its last four contests after the recent loss to FNU, with Night Hawks being led in scoring by familiar faces Cavan Daley, Joao Pedro Vinha and Diego Sanchez. All returners with two goals apiece this season. Meanwhile, TU defenders Jason Piurowski, Alex Ruane and Giacomo Bacigalupo have all tallied a goal this season, with Sam Greaves and Kieran McCombe also joining with a goal each.
On the back line, sophomore SUN Conference Defensive Player of the Week Alex Ruane and newcomer Aaron Sindhar have been at the center back spots, limiting opponents to just one goal a game.
In net, Stephen Douglas and Jorge Gonzalez have shared time, grabbing 12 saves.
Friday's contest against Mobile will be the team's eighth meeting, with TU looking for its first win in the matchup since 2016.
