MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Thomas University Night Hawks lost to the #22 Faulkner University Eagles at Billy Hilyer Stadium on Saturday by a score of 10-0.
The Eagles punched in their first goal at the 11-minute mark before adding five more in the first half. Faulkner tacked on four more in the second half of action.Â
Thomas put two shots on goal when they had possession in the first half, but both attempts from
Tyler Lau and
Ben O'Connor were saved. The Night Hawks were more aggressive in the final 45 minutes, but the Eagles turned away tries from
Jose Bonilla Ortiz,
Angel Rivera, and
Charlie Foss down the stretch.
Damien Fortin (3-7) totaled six saves on the evening.
The Night Hawks head home from Alabama and prepare for a Thursday afternoon match on Oct. 1 at 3:30 p.m. against (RV) University of Tennessee Southern at the TU Soccer Complex. Two of the last three matches have worked to 1-1 draws, sandwiching a 4-0 Thomas win in 2024.
