THOMASVILLE, Ga. — After an impressive win against DII Spring Hill College last weekend, the Thomas University women's soccer team will host Point University for its home opener on Thursday before traveling on Monday to compete against DIII Wesleyan College.
The Night Hawks (1-1-1) grabbed a tie and win in Mobile last weekend, first tying the University of Mobile 2-2 before besting Spring Hill 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Thomas' attack has been fueled by four goal scorers, with TU's Sasha Manders, Analeice Wilkes and Elsebeth la Cour Andersen, each having two goals in the short season. Sophomore Raelin Lescher has contributed TU's other goal this season, scoring Thomas' second goal in the recent Spring Hill victory.
Emily Lamoreaux has played every minute between the posts, with veteran defenders Jade Slaybaugh and Abbie McCammon also registering all 270 minutes in TU's three games.
The visiting Skyhawks (0-1) opened its 2022 season on the road last Wednesday, falling to Faulkner University 3-0. Point took seven shots with four on goal, while Erica Burkhardt made seven saves in goal.
