SUN Conference MSOC Quarterfinal Preview

THOMASVILLE, GA-  The Thomas University Men's Soccer team will host the Quarterfinal Round of the SUN Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon at 3pm.

The #4 seed Night Hawks (7-5-5, 4-2-2) will have a rematch against #6 seed Webber International (6-6-2,2-3-1). The last time both teams played each other was on October 5th, where the contest ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Green and White trained hard in preparation with a tough schedule as the Night Hawks competed against a total of seven ranked opponents. Thomas were able to see their last regular season game against RV Southeastern end with a huge 5-1 win on Senior Day.

Sophomore Connor Parry has made a big impact on the Night Hawks offense, after being named the SUN Conference and NAIA National Offensive POTW, earlier in the week. The Caerphilly, Wales native had a career setting season with five goals and 3 assists with (13 points), posting a .556% Shots on Goal (SOG) percentage. His recent accomplishment came from last week's game against RV Southeastern as Parry notched his first collegiate hat track, which marked a new season and career high in goals.

Senior Cavan Daley is tied with Parry for points (13) as the Wrexham, Wales native accumulated six goals and only one assist on the season, rallying up .667% Shots on Goal (SOG) percentage.

Webber International (9-3-1, 4-3-1) gave the Night Hawks a fight earlier in the season on Oct 5th, as the Warriors scored an early goal but the Green and White came back with the equalizer to end the contest in a draw. The Night Hawks were able to end WIU's winning streak at the time. Webber only took eight shots with TU taking a total of 17.

Webber heads into the Rose City averaging 16.7 shots per game, with a SOG percentage of .148%. Mateo Fernandez Sassoni  and Manuel LangHands are tied with seven goals apiece for the year. Sassoni leads the team in assists (10).

Kick off is set at the TU Soccer Complex and is slated for 3pm. The Sun Digital Network will provide live coverage of the match as live stats will also be available for access. Links can be found below:
