The Thomas University Men's Soccer team is gearing up to play Spring Hill College Wednesday, September 22 at 3 PM.
The Night Hawks (3-1) enter Wednesday's contest nearly a week removed from action that saw Thomas lost its first contest of the year, 3-2.
In that matchup against the University of Tennessee Southern, the Night Hawks found an early lead in the 16th minute before a late first half collapse resulted in UTS taking and extending their lead to 3-1 just before halftime. Thomas found an early second half goal to narrow the gap, but, ultimately, fell on the road to the Firehawks.
Spring Hill enters this weeks contest at 4-2 on the season with impressive wins against Faulkner, Tusculum, Eckard, and, most recently, a 4-0 win against the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Spring Hill will present a unique challenge for TU's backline, as the Badgers will field six different goal scorers in the Purple and White.
Thomas' matchup against the Badgers will be the first in over eight years, dating back to 2013, in which the Night Hawks won that contest 6-1.
Kickoff Wednesday against Spring Hill is scheduled for 3 p.m.
