THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Women's soccer is set to bounce back this week, as the Night Hawks travel to Jacksonville, Fla. Wednesday to face Edward Waters College, followed by a Saturday night home match against Point University.

The Night Hawks (2-3) have moved on from tough setbacks to Middle Georgia and Brewton-Parker to focus on picking up a pair of crucial wins.  Sophomore Jana Pastorek scored her first goal Saturday, as the Moormerland, Germany native has four points on the season.  Sophomore Ayla Aiduck continues to lead TU in Goals Scored with four.  TU as a whole average 1.8 goals a game.

EWC (0-4) has been outscored 31-3 to start its season, leading to the second-highest Goals Allowed a Game total in NAIA (7.75).  Of the three goals for the Tigers, two were scored off penalty kicks, courtesy of Alyha Velazquez-Diaz.  The midfielder has scored all three goals for EWC this season, taking six shots on the season with an .833 SOG Percentage.  The Tigers average eight and a half shots a contest, while their opponents average 12 shots.

PU (4-4-1) opens its Spring campaign at Faulkner Thursday before making the trip to Thomasville Saturday.  The Skyhawks finished Fall 2020 on a two-game skid and scored no more than two goals in its games.  Kelly Carlisle was responsible for half of Point's ten goals in the Fall, taking 20 shots with 12 shots on goal.  In its yearlong season, PU currently averages over 13 shots a match and eight shots on goal.

Wednesday will be the Night Hawks' first-ever meeting against Edward Waters College, while Saturday marks the fourth overall series meeting against Point University that dates back to 2017.  The Night Hawks have won all three previous matches.
