THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The (RV) Thomas University Women's soccer team is ready to bounce back from a winless week Saturday as the Night Hawks host the Falcons of Florida College in non-conference action.
After a tough week on the road last time out, Thomas (4-4-1) has had a week to prepare for Saturday's opposition. The Night Hawks have been balanced when it comes to scoring, registering 19 goals while giving up 19 goals on the 2021 season. With three games left in the regular season, TU is looking to make a statement on both sides of the ball.
Redshirt Sophomore
Jade Guyton's first appearances for the Hunter Green & White was a productive one, tallying a goal off two shots on goal. Senior
Taylor Hults and Sophomores
Ayla Aiduck and
Jana Pastorek each have four goals apiece entering Saturday's match.
The Hunter Green & White has averaged nearly seven shots on goal, led by Sophomore
Analeice Wilkes' 80% on target percentage.
FC (1-12, 0-5 SSAC) has only scored once in the entire Spring campaign, which came against a 3-1 loss to Dalton State back in February. The Falcons average 2.3 shots a game, coming off a weekend where the Red, Black & White were outshot 64-3.
Florida College is led by Michaela Nicholson, who has scored four of the team's six total goals that date back to the team's fall campaign and holds an on-target percentage just under 67%. Kiara Romero has tallied four points (1G, 2A) on the season with seven shots taken. All but one of Romero's shots have been on goal.
Falcons' Goalkeeper Victoria Fullagar has seen more than her fair share of shots, averaging 10.42 saves a match. The Junior comes off a rough weekend in net, averaging a .598% save percentage against Mobile and #1 William Carey.
FC on average has allowed 4.46 goals a contest, the 15th highest mark in NAIA.
Saturday will mark the first-ever meeting between the Night Hawks and the Falcons.
