COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Thomas University men's swimming team competed in three finals Thursday on the second day of the 63rd Annual Men's Swimming and Diving National Championship at the Columbus Aquatic Center.
The Night Hawks' 200 yard freestyle relay team of sophomore
Ethan Bainbridge, junior Sa Ali Ayric, freshman
Dorian Taylor and sophomore
Victor Dos Santos took fifth in the A final, finishing the race at 1:24.71.
Dos Santos and Bainbridge took 12th and 13th, respectively, in the 50 yard freestyle B final, touching the wall at 21.23 and 21.36.
Taylor, senior
Kevin Bohr, Ayric and Bainbridge combined to swim a 3:30.93 in the 400 yard medley relay, placing 12th in the B final.
The NAIA Championship will continue Friday, March 1, with the third day of competition. Prelims are slated to begin at 9 a.m. EST, while finals will start at 5 p.m. EST.
