Thomas competes at Ave Maria

AVE MARIA, Fla. - The Night Hawks showcased remarkable talent against Ave Maria in a conference meet on Saturday morning. the meet was a test of mettle and endurance, with both teams delivering outstanding performances across various events.

The meet concluded with varying results for the men's and women's teams. The Night Hawks' women's team faced a tough challenge, scoring 106 to Ave Maria University's 167. On the men's side, however, Thomas University commanded the pool with a score of 158 against 121, showcasing their strength and coordination. When the points were tallied for the combined team scores, Ave Maria University slightly edged out with a total of 288 to Thomas University's 264.

Noteworthy performances included Jofre Mataro from Thomas University, who clinched multiple victories in events such as the Men 100 Yard Backstroke and the Men 200 Yard IM. Aspen Shipp also made an impact with her outstanding swim in the Women 200 Yard Backstroke, marking the best time for Thomas.

Looking ahead, the Night Hawks will be back at home vs Life at the Butler-Mason YMCA on Saturday, November 2 at 1:00 PM. The team remains upbeat and focused as they prepare to build on their successes and address their challenges in the upcoming meet.
