THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The Night Hawks honored four seniors on before a conference meet against Life University on Saturday afternoon at the Butler-Mason YMCA.
The meet brought different results for both the men's and women's teams, on the men's side they suffered their first loss of the season, but they still had remarkable performances.
Jofre Mataro won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:43.54,
Emil Schildhauer continued his impressive year winning the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke, finishing with a time of 58.84 and 2:11.24 respectively.
For the women, they earned their first win of the season behind a strong performance from several swimmers. Dagmar Kruik, took first in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle with a time of 26.57 in the 50 and a time of 57.19 in the 100.
Aspen Shipp continued her great season in the 200 yard backstroke taking the win with a time of 2:13.18. She also had a clutch performance in the women's 100 yard fly as she won by only 1.10 seconds.
The meet was a special one as
Chase Parman,
Ethan Kilgore, Laura Zapater and Diego Alonso were all honored for their contributions and dedication to the Thomas University Swim Teams.
The meet is the final one at home for the season as the Night Hawks hit the pool again for their final fall meet on November 21st for the South Georgia State Small College Championships in Columbus, Ga.
