Olivia Taylor's goal in the 47th minute coupled with
Kara Houston's second clean sheet this year resulted in a 1-0 win for Thomas at Florida Memorial in Saturday's Sun Conference (TSC) regular-season finale at Vizcaya Park. The victory sends the Night Hawks as the No. 6 seed to their sixth-straight TSC Tournament, which begins with the quarterfinal round at No. 3-seed Saint Thomas (Fla.) on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. ET.

Julie Orlowski noted regarding the match being played in heavy rain. "We put ourselves into a spot where we needed a win, and to come through on a day like today is very satisfying. On a day like today, it took everyone to be sharp for 90 minutes."
Thomas (7-7-2, 4-5-1 TSC) has outscored Florida Memorial (1-11-1, 0-10-1 TSC) a combined 29-3 in six all-time meetings, won its fourth-straight regular-season finale and improved to 10-0-2 in its last 12 matches when allowing one goal or less.
