THE NIGHT HAWKS
Thomas University (1-6-0) fell to No. 6 William Carey (Miss.), 3-1, and Mobile (Ala.), 3-1, last weekend in The Sun Conference/Southern State Challenge at the TU Soccer Complex. Kayla Folse led the Night Hawks with both goals in the weekend.
 
Folse leads TU with four goals and ten points and adds two assists this season, while Olivia Taylor leads the team with four assists and adds two goals this year.
 
THE LIONS
Florida Memorial (1-2-0) collected a 2-0 victory over conference opponent Ave Maria University (Fla.) on Sept. 10 on the road. The Lions scored goals in both halves of the game.
 
Brianca Combe led Florida Memorial with a goal and an assist in the game, while Lovely Placide netted the other goal.
 
Combe leads the team with two goals and five points with an assist, while Nina Torres produced the other assist.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Night Hawks topped Florida Memorial, 3-1, in Miami Gardens, Fla. on Sept. 25 last season.
 
THE BOBCATS
St. Thomas (4-1-0) knocked off then No. 21 Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) on Sunday in San Antonio, Texas. The Bobcats scored both goals in the first half of the game.
 
Taylor Malone scored the first goal in the 22nd minute, while Chelsea Trost scored again a minute and a half before halftime.
 
Kortney Hinden leads St. Thomas with four goals, three assists and 11 points, while four different players have two goals this season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
St. Thomas, ranked 23rd at the time, came away with a 1-0 victory in Miami Gardens, Fla. on Sept. 27 last year.
 
UP NEXT
The Night Hawks host Webber International University (Fla.) on Sept. 29 at the TU Soccer Complex for faculty and staff appreciation day.
