Box Score TU Women's Soccer (3-4) (TSC 0-0) unfortunately fell to the University of Mobile Lady Rams (4-2-2) in a grueling match. Despite the best of efforts to control the game and ultimately the score, the Lady Night Hawks fell short.
The first goal of the match came from UM in the first seven and a half minutes of play, giving them the first mark on the board. TU countered the goal approximately sixteen minutes later on the unassisted goal by Senior
Jenny Hernandez (1G). The match would remain tied at 1 going into half time.
Entering the second half of competition, UM reclaimed the lead at 2-1 in the 55
th minute. The Lady Night Hawks persisted and pushed the ball toward goal on several occasions; however, TU exhausted all their efforts at the goal and succumbed to bitter defeat.
TU Head Women's Soccer Coach,
Julie Orlowski, commented on the day's performance: "I was pleased with certain aspects and saw some situations that we need to improve. No successful team achieved greatness without hiccups. Hopefully we can use this next week to capitalize on the opportunity for improvement as we enter conference competition."
Your Lady Night Hawks will travel to Miami Gardens next Friday to compete against St. Thomas in their first conference match of the 2014 Women's Soccer season.
