Box Score No. 18 TU Night Hawks (3-0-1) (TSC 0-0) knock off No. 1 MMC RedHawks (2-1) (SSAC 0-0) in a 3-1 upset in week three's NAIA game of the week.
The RedHawks would draw first blood as they scored the first goal of the game in the 51
st minute, taking the lead over TU 1-0.
Freshman Johnathan McGrath (1G) would answer MMC's goal just 16 seconds later on an assist by Sophomore Antonio Rodriquez, knotting the game at 1-1. The Night Hawks defense would remain solid as they held the #1 team, MMC, to just 1 one goal for the remainder of the match-up. Sophomore
Severin Abt (2G) would put Thomas ahead 2-1 as he blasts home a goal from Junior
Patrick Ramdial's (2A) played ball in the 60
th minute. Abt and Ramdial would continue their dominance as Abt netted his second goal on the night from another Ramdial assist.
The Night Hawks extend their home field dominance as they collect their 8
th straight home victory over ranked opponents. Thomas also lengthens their record to 9-2-1 against the Southern States Conference since 2011 after upsetting #1 Martin Methodist 3-1.

Ricky Zambrano. "Defending our home turf and knocking off the #1 team shows that our guys are just as competitive and capable as the next teams, if not more so."
