Box Score Thomas University's Women's Soccer (10-7-1) (TSC 7-3-1) tied the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats (3-9-5) (TSC 2-4-4) 3-3 in the Sun Conference Quarter-Final match, but were eliminated in a penalty kick shoot-out.

Jenny Hernandez, taking a 1-nil lead over the JWU Wildcats. The Lady Wildcats answered the Night Hawk goal during the 15
th minute, knotting the match at 1 before halftime. Â
JWU took a 2-1 lead over TU as they delivered another goal during the 56
th minute. Thomas rallied back from a 2-1 deficit when Junior
Alyssa Denton booted a perfect ball from the corner to assist Roivas' header goal, deadlocking the Sun Conference Quarter-Final match at 2. Hernandez struck a goal of her own, giving TU the momentum they needed with a 3-2 lead over the Lady Wildcats. JWU stuck through the fight, netting their third goal and tying TU 3-3, forcing the game into overtime.
Both Thomas and Johnson & Wales' defenses stepped up, forcing the match through a double overtime and into a PK shoot-out. The score remained tangled through the first five PK's, but JWU eliminated the Lady Night Hawks during sudden death PK's.
"Give credit to Eric and his team. They battled and found a way to tie it. They earned a quality win today," said Head TU Women's Soccer Coach,
Julie Orlowski. Â "It is disappointing to send our seniors off with a performance like this. Emily, Jenny and Breana have forged a great foundation for the program during their time at TU. We will miss them."
The Lady Night Hawks will work hard during the offseason and build off their 2014 season. TU will return to the soccer pitch for their 2015 Season.
