Box Score Thomas University's Men's Soccer team (12-2-3) (TSC 7-2-1) got swarmed by the SCAD-Savannah Bees (10-2-3) (TSC 9-0-1) in their final game of their regular season campaign 1-0.
The Night Hawks battled with the Bees defensively, holding one another scoreless through the majority of the first half before the Bees stung TU with a goal in the 36
th minute, taking a 1-0 lead. The Night Hawks took 7 shots during the game, only one of which was a shot on goal.Â
TU struggled to get any momentum throughout the entire match, as they were unable to put themselves in adequate scoring opportunities. Sophomore
Severin Abt took two shots on the night, taking the only shot on goal that the Bees would allow.
"We weren't able to get much going out there offensively tonight," said Head TU Men's Soccer Coach,
Ricky Zambrano. "Not the way we wanted to end our 2014 campaign; however, we will put this match behind us and prepare ourselves for the road ahead in post-season."
Thomas looks to host the Sun Conference Quarter-Final on Saturday, November 8
th. The time and opponent will be announced once the records are finalized at the conclusion of the final matches of the season.
