Box Score Thomas University Lady Night Hawks (10-6) (5-3 TSC) were defeated by the Warner University Royals (6-6) (3-5 TSC) in a long-fought battle, 1-0.
The Lady Night Hawks and the Lady Royals battled it out for one hundred and nine minutes. Team defense and goal keepers were crucial in the fight on the pitch as both teams shot a combined total of nineteen shots on goal, six of those from TU. WU found success with forty-six seconds left in the second overtime as a strike was delivered from the right side cross.
"What makes a successful team is not necessarily strength or knowledge, but will and winning is not doing anything extraordinary, but just doing the ordinary, fundamental skills well. We showed will and a great effort and we have a lot of talent," said TU Head Women's Soccer Coach,
Julie Orlowski. "So we will look to our final conference match with confidence that we will get the result."
TU Lady Night Hawks will complete their conference campaign Sunday afternoon, October 26
th, as they take on the Webber International Warriors in Babson Park, FL at 1:00 PM.
