Lady Night Hawks Get Stung by Savannah Bees

TU Soccer Breast Cancer Awareness Game
Box Score

Thomas University's Women's Soccer (8-5) (TSC 5-1) were defeated in their TU Soccer Breast Cancer Awareness Game by conference challenger SCAD – Savannah Bees (7-6) (TSC 3-2) in a 2-0 shutout.

The Lady Night Hawks flew on the pitch in their pink to contest the Bees. TU's defense protected the nest for the first sixty-eight minutes. They flew into halftime deadlocked in a scoreless match. The bees scored twenty-three minutes into the second half and again four minutes later while the Lady Night Hawk offense was unsuccessful on goal throughout the course of the match.

TU Women's Soccer collected their first conference defeat since late October of 2013. TU Head Women's Soccer Coach's remarks on the day: "We were unable to put together a solid 90 minutes of play.  Our defense held strung for the latter portion of the match, but we collapsed late in the game.  Offensively we weren't able to put together passes to set us up for goal opportunities," said Julie Orlowski.  "No good team is ever successful without hiccups.  We will re-focus and prepare for the matches we have ahead of us."

Thomas will continue through their 2014 campaign as they face-off with Middle Georgia on Thursday, October 16th at 3:00 P.M. at the Thomas University Soccer Complex.
