Junior Igor Dos Santos has been named the Student-Athlete of the week for December 7-13, 2015.
Through the leadership and individual efforts Dos Santos, the Thomas University men’s swim team finished fifth this past weekend at the SCAD Invitational. Dos Santos was the highest individual finisher as he completed the 100 yard backstroke in 55.13 for sixth place. The Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, native also finished fifth in the 50 yard freestyle (21.74). In the preliminaries, Dos Santos was the top qualifier finishing in 21.27. In his final race of the meet, Dos Santos finished his invitational with a sixth place finish in the 100 yard freestyle (47.92).
