Senior Ben Overman has been named the Student-Athlete of the week for April 27-May 3, 2015.
This past weekend, Overman worked a complete game, racking up eight consecutive scoreless innings in the effort. The Orlando, Fla., native surrendered FMU's only runs of the contest in the bottom of the ninth on a two-run homerun by first baseman Casey Johnston. Overman (2-4) struck out six of the 32 batters he faced while surrendering only nine hits en route to the 6-2 victory. Through his pitching performance, the Night Hawks clinched the sixth and final spot in the 2015 Sun Conference Baseball Tournament.
