Senior Chandler Seay has been named the Student-Athlete of the week for March 2-8, 2015.
Seay led the Lady Night Hawks in capturing the Gold Bracket Consolation Championship at the NFCA NAIA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga., this past weekend. Thomas (14-4) went 5-1 during the tournament defeating four ranked opponents, No. 3 Reinhardt University (twice), No. 13 Olivet Nazarane, and No. 24 USC-Beaufort. The left-fielder collected six RBIs, four stolen bases, and nine hits during the six games. The Tallahassee, Fla., native hit .409 and boasted a .455 slugging average. So far this season, Seay is batting .429 with 22 hits and 10 RBIs.
