Sophomore Ashley Sikes has been named the Student-Athlete of the week for February 23-March 1, 2015.
Sikes simply dominated the mound this week for the Lady Night Hawks picking up two victories over Georgia Gwinnett College. Now at 9-3, the Lady Night Hawks have become a force in the early stages of the 2015 season. So far, the 5-foot-8, left-handed pitcher leads the teams in wins (4) and boasts a 1.86 ERA. The Bristol, Fla., native has accumulated 11 strikeouts and only allowed 22 hits in her 26.1 innings of work.
Currently, Sikes ranks 11th in the NAIA in wins. Ashley is a biology major.
