Freshman Michael Cooper has been named the Student-Athlete of the week for February 16-22, 2015.
Cooper had dominant weekend for the Lady Night Hawks’ softball team. Thomas, who is on a six game winning streak, is now 7-1 on the season. The 5-foot-4 catcher smashed three homeruns in three days during the team’s victories over Truett-McConnell, Coastal Georgia, and Middle Georgia. The Crawfordville, Fla., native went 7-for-15 (.467) at the plate all while knocking in nine RBIs. Cooper scored four runs and reached on three walks while not striking out once in her six games of work.
Michael is a biology major.
