Wyatt Dalton is starting his first year as full-time Assistant Swim Coach for Thomas University after working as a volunteer assistant for the 2022-2023 season.
Dalton swam for Thomas his Junior and Senior year and was a 2 – time NAIA All American setting the school record in the 200-yard backstroke and was Team Captain his Senior season. Dalton spent his Freshman and Sophomore years at South Georgia State College setting the school record in the 50-yard backstroke. He was a 4-time NJCAA All American and 2019-2020 Team High Points Award Winner.
At Georgia 7A Lambert High School in Metro-Atlanta Dalton was a 2-time High School All American, 10-time GHSA State Finalist, 3-time Team MVP and set the county and team record in the 50-yard free style. He was also 2018 Forsyth County Swimmer of the Year.
Dalton has been coaching swimming for 10 years, at the summer league level and club level. He coaches first time swimmers on up to Olympic Trail Qualifiers and Division 1 swimmers. He spent the 2023 summer working with swimmers at Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club and is excited to get to work this fall with the Thomas University team.
Dalton graduated from Thomas University in December 2022 with a BS Degree in Natural Resources and Conservation Management and enjoys living in Thomasville.
