THOMASVILLE, Ga. — The Thomas Night Hawks fell on Saturday night against NCAA D-II Erskine College at Veterans Memorial Stadium, but the Night Hawks showed some bright spots in the setback.
Garrett Stevenson connected on a 34-yard field goal in the second quarter, capping an eight-play drive that started at the Flying Fleet 42. The drive was Thomas' most complete possession of the night.
Connor Langford completed 14 of 26 passes for 84 yards, spreading the ball to five different receivers. Tre Woodson led the way with five catches for 29 yards while Jaden Paulk added three catches for 31 yards. Roshaun Dudley paced the run game with 21 yards on eight carries.
The defense had its moments as well. Mustapha Kromah turned in a team-high eight tackles, including a 1.5 tackles for loss, and Omaryon Leslie and Cameron Thomas Sr. each chipped in five stops. Wilbert Olivera-Munoz also added a sack and Zakari Henderson, AJ Traylor and Ke'Montez Foster all came away with four tackles each.
Thomas will return to Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 19 as they take on No. 14 Campbellsville at 3:00pm.
