MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2025-26 year-end award winners. Trinity Thomas Plunkett was named the 2025-2026 Neptune GameTime Sports Information Director of the Year to represent Thomas University Athletics in the awards. This marks the first-ever SID of the Year award for Thomas University and the first time a female Sports Information Director has won an award dating back to 2009-2010.

Over the years, she has worked numerous SSAC Championships, including soccer, volleyball, basketball, and softball. She has also shown a willingness to mentor incoming sports information directors in the league and help them find their footing.

Jessica Sanders, Softball Coach & Athletic Director: "Being voted SID of the Year by her peers is a meaningful recognition of the work and commitment it takes to manage sports information responsibilities at a small school with a large athletic department. Handling multiple sports, including football, requires a tremendous amount of time and organization, and we appreciate the effort she has put into serving our student-athletes and programs."

Since being hired in 2024, Trinity is the primary contact for all 16 varsity sports, including football. In that time, she has overseen a website redesign, the launch of the school's partnership with the Urban Edge Network and Hometown Ticketing, and the introduction of Pickleball as a club sport. In her tenure, the department's social media following has grown. Thomas University Athletics Facebook followers have grown by 31.7%, while Instagram followers have tripled to over 1.1k. Student-athlete exposure has grown as well, with several athletes earning recognition on the conference and national levels.

Trinity Thomas Plunkett: "I am honored to receive this award. It is amazing to be recognized by a group of high-level conference Sports Information Directors. I have worked so hard in my past two years to serve our student-athletes and institution in my role. I am thankful for the opportunity I was given two years ago by Kurt, Jessica, and Mike."
