THOMASVILLE, Ga. — The Night Hawks soared to a commanding 46-6 victory over Reinhardt (GA) on Senior Day. Thomas put on a show with an explosive offensive display, racking up 373 total yards and finding the end zone seven times. Kam King made an early connection with
Neka Dean for a 10-yard pickup, setting the stage for what was to come.
Destiny Lockett then hit
Dyva Jones for a big 22-yard gain, pushing Thomas deep into enemy territory. The drive culminated with another successful play, putting Thomas in the driver's seat from the get-go.
Reinhardt's attempt to answer was thwarted by a staunch Thomas defense.
Azariah Greer and
Yuleisly Hodgson made critical flag pulls, driving Reinhardt back. Jones snagged a pivotal interception, stopping Reinhardt in their tracks and keeping the momentum squarely with Thomas.
As the quarter went on, Lockett kept the chains moving, linking up with
Ameari Logan and
Mya Richards to extend the Night Hawks' lead. By the end of the first quarter, Thomas was up 12-0 over Reinhardt.
Thomas didn't let up in the second quarter, seizing control with another impressive touchdown drive. Lockett found Greer for an 18-yard gain, then connected with Logan to set up Greer for a 14-yard touchdown. Lockett's pinpoint passing kept Thomas in the lead.
Reinhardt tried to claw back, but Thomas's defensive wall held firm. Jones and Lockett stood out with key flag pulls that stymied Reinhardt's efforts. The Night Hawks went into halftime with a comfortable lead.
Starting the third quarter on defense, Thomas continued to stifle Reinhardt's offense, thanks to Greer and Lockett's relentless pressure. Although the Night Hawks struggled to break through Reinhardt's defense on their next possession, they maintained their grip on the game.
In the fourth quarter, Thomas resumed control, with Lockett's precise passing leading to a 13-yard touchdown to Logan, further widening the gap. The Night Hawks' defense, with major contributions from
Iyana Harris and Hodgson, kept Reinhardt on their heels, forcing multiple QB flag pulls and significant yardage losses.
As the final minutes ticked away, Thomas capitalized on every offensive opportunity. Lockett hit Jones for a 16-yard touchdown, and King's 35-yard touchdown pass to Greer put an exclamation point on the game. Thomas sealed a decisive 46-6 victory, showcasing tight defensive pressure and seamless offensive execution throughout.
Lockett's arm was on full display with 214 passing yards and four touchdowns. Jones was a force on both sides of the ball, with two receiving touchdowns, a crucial interception and four pulls including a sack. Greer tallied 97 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Logan added to the scoring frenzy with two touchdowns and 61 receiving yards.
