THOMASVILLE, Ga. — The Night Hawks faced a tough outing on Saturday, falling 9-0 to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at Varnedoe Stadium.
Thomas managed to notch four hits and swipe two bases, while the No.24 Stallions were relentless with 19 hits. The Stallions set the pace early with two runs in the first inning. In the second inning, they added two more. Billy Girgis scored off a Davis double, and Bowman came home on Joe Cooney's ground out, stretching the lead to 4-0. The sixth inning saw the Stallions widen the gap with two more runs. Bowman scored on a Cooney single, and Davis touched home on a Cameron Campbell sacrifice fly, making it 6-0.The seventh inning continued the Stallions' momentum with runs driven in by Davis and Campbell, pushing the score to 8-0.In the ninth, Rawls scored on a passed ball after reaching third, capping the scoring at 9-0 in favor of the Stallions.
On the mound for the Night Hawks,
Isaac Padilla started, pitching three innings, allowing nine hits, and four earned runs, while striking out four.
Sawyer Smith came in relief for 2.1 innings, giving up five hits and two earned runs, but managed a pick-off at first.
Charlie Eidelman added a 0.2 inning with a strikeout.
Tyler Marczak pitched an inning, surrendering three hits and two earned runs.
Reece Holloway delivered a solid inning, facing the minimum three batters with three groundouts. Tj Harley closed with an inning, striking out one and allowing two hits and one run.
Seth Waltimyer contributed with two hits and a sacrifice bunt.Gabe Tafelsk and
