MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2026 SSAC Baseball Scholar-Athlete Team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

- All of the student-athletes earned All-Conference or Gold Glove recognition
- To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA and have competed in 50% of competitions
- Graduate students and transfers must have completed one semester at the school
Dufresne earned his spot on the squad with Second Team All-Conference and Gold Glove recognition. The sophomore posted a .363 batting average on the season for a team second best. He had 32 RBIs tied for most on the team this season. The Ocoee, Fla. native scored 23 runs with a .453 OB%. Dufresne is the third Night Hawk in program history to receive the honor.
Seth Waltimyer earned the recognition in the the 2025 campaign and current Graduate Assistant
Brandon Steele earned the honor in the 2024 season.
